1. Fly High (Paraglide)

Bir stands as the second-largest paragliding site in the world also the largest in
Asia. With tourists and adventurists from across the globe learning to fly high here in
the valley, Bir is also called as the Paragliding capital of India. However, learning to
paraglide on your own is a course of around 15 days, you can definitely have the
experience with a pilot for about 15-20 mins. This is also called Tandem
paragliding. This valley is said to have one of the best wind directions to support the
adventure and flying as high as 8000ft would give you a crazy adrenaline rush. The
pilots have a camera to help you record your experience and you can get great
pictures from photographers on the ground who will click on you while landing.

2. Cycle in air

Cycling became one popular activity in Bir in the last decade even as bicycle
companies also started sponsoring trips and cyclothons here. However, the activity
was taken a notch above when ‘SKY CYCLING’ came to the valley as an adventure.
This is an activity wherein you cycle on a rope across a valley. However, the harness
protects you and is completely safe, the whole thrill of pushing yourself and your
cycle in the valley wind and propelling to cross the valley is mind-wobbling. This
adventure has also marked itself as the world’s longest sky cycle in a valley.

3. Visit the monasteries

Along with being one of the most beautiful valleys in the foothills of the Dhauladhar
ranges, Bir is also home to thousands of Tibetans who have imbibed a vibrant and
soulful Tibetan culture in the valley. With over 6 monasteries in the valley, it also has
become a hub for meditation, healing practices, yoga, and many Buddhist courses.
The monasteries of Bir hold a very strong heritage of Buddhism and peace. You can
visit these monasteries anytime to see beautiful sculptures, the mega prayer halls,
meet and interact with monks or be lucky enough to attend their special prayers.

4. Attend the Bir Music Festival

So if you are a music, art, or fun lover then you’ve come to the best place because Bir
also hosts a festival of its own. Popularly known as BMF, the festival hosted over 50
artists like Osho Jain, Salman Elahi, Deepak Rathore, Kabir Café, Shubhank Sharma, and more. With crazy activities like Gudanji Yoga and Betarikh Holi and workshops
like pebble painting, Sound healing, treks, and more along with two nights of live
music this two-day festival wins the hearts of the mob. So do check when the next

5. Trek
Whether it is the winter snow trek to Hanuman Garh or Ragundha Valley or small
trails like Gunehar hidden waterfall and Mata Maheshwari, the treks and trails
around Bir will steal your heart. The view of mesmerizing Dhouladhar ranges, pine
forests, rocky areas, streams of crystal clear water, and heartwarming villagers add
